Pippa Reid-Foster creates unique hand-woven scarves and shawls, with contrasting accessories and vibrant brooches.

Her work is inspired by the exquisite beauty of Scotland’s Western Isles, the bright vibrant colours of the fishing boats  contrasted with the soft hues of the highland landscape and the often dramatic seascape of the Scottish coast.

Pippa’s current designs are hand woven on her traditional dobbie loom in the LaLuLa studio using a combination of the very best Shetland wool and lambswool.   They are felted to provide a soft and luxurious feel, texture and colour, as if they might have grown from the very landscape of Scotland.

Pippa graduated with Honors from The Scottish College of Textiles in 2008.   She is now concentrating on developing her textile design business, LaLuLa, in the small Scottish West Coast village of Kilcreggan, on the stunningly beautiful Rosneath Peninsula.
